Retatrutide (40 mg / 50 mg Large Vials)
Maintenance dosing protocol for large vials
Quick Reference
Overview
Large vials are intended for researchers at or near maintenance dose. The titration schedule remains unchanged — see the standard protocol above. At 6.67 mg/mL: 1 unit = 0.01 mL = 66.7 mcg on a U-100 insulin syringe. At 12 mg/week, one 40 mg vial covers ~3.3 weeks; one 50 mg vial covers ~4.2 weeks.
Dosing & Reconstitution Guide
| Phase | Daily Dose | Units | Volume |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maintenance | 4 mg | 60 units | 0.60 mL |
| Maintenance | 6 mg | 90 units | 0.90 mL |
| Maintenance | 8 mg | 120 units | 1.20 mL* |
| Maintenance | 10 mg | 150 units | 1.50 mL* |
| Maintenance | 12 mg | 180 units | 1.80 mL* |
Reconstitution Instructions
Draw 6.0 mL (40 mg vial) or 7.5 mL (50 mg vial) bacteriostatic water with a sterile syringe (fill in multiple passes if needed).
Inject slowly down the vial wall in increments; avoid foaming.
Gently swirl/roll until fully dissolved (do not shake).
Label with reconstitution date and refrigerate at 2–8 °C, protected from light. Use within 28 days.

Supplies Needed
- ✓Peptide Vials (Retatrutide, 40 mg or 50 mg): 3–4 vials at 12 mg/week
- ✓3 mL Syringes: 12 syringes
- ✓Bacteriostatic Water (10 mL): 1 bottle per vial
- ✓Alcohol Swabs: 24 swabs
Dosing Protocol
Schedule
Inject once weekly subcutaneously. These large vials are for researchers already at maintenance dose. The titration schedule is unchanged — refer to the standard protocol above.
Cycle Structure
Continue at maintenance dose as per standard retatrutide protocol.
Timing
Consistent weekly day. Doses above 1.0 mL require a 3 mL syringe. Rotate injection sites.
Storage & Handling
- ✓Lyophilized: Store at −20 °C (−4 °F) in dry, dark conditions; minimize moisture exposure.
- ✓Reconstituted: Refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35.6–46.4 °F); avoid freeze–thaw cycles.
- ✓Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening to reduce condensation uptake.
- ✓Do not freeze reconstituted solution.
- ✓Discard if solution becomes cloudy or contains visible particles.
Important Notes
- ✓All products sold by JA Performance Peptides are intended strictly for laboratory research purposes and are not approved for human consumption, veterinary use, or therapeutic application. Not for human use.
- ✓Use new sterile insulin syringes for each injection; dispose in a sharps container.
- ✓Rotate injection sites (abdomen, thighs, upper arms) to reduce local irritation.
- ✓Inject slowly; wait a few seconds before withdrawing the needle.
- ✓Document daily dose and site rotation to maintain consistency.
